Crisis Prevention Center
Project Mission: Our mission
is to provide a safe, compassionate, and empowering environment for individuals
and families in crisis. The MHOA Mental Health Crisis Prevention Center will
serve as a comprehensive resource center for individuals and families in
crisis. Its services will focus on addressing suicide prevention and mental
health needs, providing both immediate relief and long-term support to prevent
mental health crises and foster a healthier more resilient community.
Through our fundraising events, we aim to not only secure critical resources for this
initiative but also bring mental health awareness to the public. By fostering
understanding and support, we strive to break the stigma surrounding mental
health and build a stronger, more compassionate community.
Our MHOA Mental Health Crisis Prevention Center Proposal
This is what will be included in our build
Motorheads of
America Crisis Prevention Center
Focusing on mental health early intervention and ongoing support.
Crisis Stabilization Unit
Provides emergency 72-hour holds
for individuals in crisis, offering de-escalation and evaluation services.
Safe, calming rooms designed to
reduce stress (without a clinical hospital feel).
A designated calming room and
waiting area at the entrance to help minimize stress and conflict.
Separate male and female units:
Male unit: Four individual rooms with one medical room nurse and one mental health professional on duty 24/7.
dining/activity room and bathroom/shower facilities.
Female unit: Four individual rooms, plus a specialized mother-and-baby unit, staffed with one medical room nurse and
one mental health professional on duty 24/7.

Outpatient Mental Health Unit &
Public Counseling Services
Personalized Treatment Plans – A crisis prevention support
team creates customized treatment plans for individuals during their
72-hour hold, tracking progress to prevent relapse.
Therapy & Counseling – Onsite licensed therapists,
psychologists, and psychiatrists provide mental health treatment.
Trauma-Informed Care – Specialized support for
individuals dealing with PTSD, anxiety, and crisis management.
Individual & Group Therapy – Various therapy options,
including structured support groups.
VR Therapy & Remote Support – Virtual reality therapy for
exposure therapy, relaxation, and cognitive behavioral interventions.
Remote therapy sessions are available via telehealth and VR for greater
accessibility.
Group Support & Activities Room
Dedicated peer support office and
group support leader.
Focus on community engagement,
education, and mental health awareness.
Weekly support groups, including:
Mom groups
Grief and loss support
Mental health awareness and peer
support groups
Single-parent support
Domestic abuse survivor support
Addiction and recovery support
Veteran and first responder
support
Dining Center & Community Kitchen
Provides meals for individuals in
the 72-hour hold unit.
Open to the public in a bistro-style
setting, offering small food items such as soup and sandwiches.
Hosts soup kitchen nights
to serve meals to the homeless.
Offers a public dining area
for free holiday meals to those in need.
We understand this goal may take longer than one year to accomplish, but with dedication from our team and support from our community we will make this goal a reality regardless of time.
